PERMANENT MAKEUP
+ What to know
PMU is performed to enhance the natural features of your face. PMU is the process by which sterile hypoallergenic cosmetic pigments are placed into the dermal layer of the skin using single-use, individual, disposable, sterile needles. The result is subtle and enhances your natural beauty. All new areas include one touch-up visit.
Unlike with “traditional tattoos” PMU pigments fade overtime. That’s because we use different pigments, rather than carbon ink. The reason it’s called “permanent” is that, even though it fades, particles still remain in the skin.
PMU is an art, not a science. Clients’ results vary and using a pencil or powder for touch-ups may still be needed. We have no control over your body’s healing process. Each time you have a procedure done, there can be less retention of your pigment due to scar tissue.
Results vary with each client and health of the skin. If you have more difficult skin there will be additional charges if more work needs to be done.
All areola pigmentation and scar camo require a consultation prior to procedure.

What is the recovery or “downtime”?
This varies from person to person. We will provide each client with written aftercare instructions. The treated area will begin to soften and lighten up within 5 to 30 days, and it is recommended you schedule your touch-up appointment anytime from 6 to 12 weeks following your last procedure, then every 1 to 2 years for a re-touch.
Please avoid these things for the first 7 days following your procedure: - No heavy sweating - No direct sun or tanning beds - No saltwater or chlorine water around the area - No direct makeup on the treated area
What you need to know about Permanent Eyebrows!
This area has become more common over the last several years, partly due to newer techniques available. Hair Strokes and Microblading are the most requested, however there are a few things to keep in mind. Hair strokes will fade with time, blur or look more powdered. The natural aging of your skin and tissue will affect the appearance of your PMU. This technique will NOT work on everyone. Trichotillomania (pulling disorder), Alopecia, and large pores/oily skin need to be aware that results may vary and a more powdered look will be the result. Lighter skin types such as red heads/blondes/light eyes will have more redness, swelling, and sometimes the pigment will not retain as good and may require more additional touch-ups. Darker skin types please be aware that hair strokes will not be a visible as on lighter skin types.
